Mrs. LeBaron Dead At Lapwai
LAPWAI – Mrs. Mary Ellen LeBaron, 54, a resident of Cavendish since 1920, died at 7:15 Tuesday Morning at the Ervin Armstrong home here. Mrs. LeBaron had been staying with the Armstrongs since her release Sunday from Tri-State Hospital at Clarkston. Death was caused by a heart attack.
Mrs. LeBaron was born June8, 1905 at Enid, Okla., the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Clay. Her parents farmed there, moving to Lewistown, Mont. In 1909 and homesteading at Butte Creek, Mont. in 1910. In 1920 they moved to the North Fork of the Clearwater River in the Freeman Creek area and later that year moved to Cavendish.
She married to Francis H. LeBaron Nov. 26, 1925 at Lewiston and they made their home at Cavendish where he farms.
Mrs. LeBaron attended the Cavendish Methodist Church and was a charter member of the Evergreen Grange at Teakean.
Survivors include her husband at home; two sons, Benjamin of Cavendish and Eugene, stationed at Fairchild Air Force Base at Spokane; two daughters, Mrs. Ben Findley of Spolane and Mrs. Ralph Lacey of Peck; one brother, William Clay of Orofino; four grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Gilbert’s Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Harold Pressnall, pastor of the United Brethren Church of Cream Ridge, officiating. Burial will be at the Cavendish Cemetery.
